These terms cover the AptaPilot desktop Launcher, the research tools it installs, and this web portal. By creating an account or using the software you agree to them.

1. Who provides this1. 提供方
AptaPilot is operated by Xiaohan Zhang as an individual, in Ontario, Canada. Contact: contact@zxiaohan.com.

2. Your account2. 账号
One account per person. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give accurate registration details: your institution and role are what decide whether the free academic tier applies to you, so misstating them misdirects a licence. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
一人一个账号。请妥善保管密码 —— 账号下发生的行为由你负责。注册信息须真实： 机构与身份决定你是否适用学术免费版，填写不实等于错领授权。若怀疑账号被盗用，请及时告知。
3. Licence3. 授权
You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the software for the edition you hold, on machines you control. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute it, and you may not attempt to defeat the licensing mechanism.
我们授予你非独占、不可转让的使用权，范围为你所持有的版本，在你所控制的设备上使用。 不得转售、再授权或再分发，也不得试图绕过授权机制。
- Academic tier is free for academic and non-commercial research use, and requires no payment. 学术版免费，用于学术与非商业研究，无需付费。
- Subscriptions run until cancelled; access continues to the end of the period already paid for. 订阅在取消前持续有效；已付费周期内继续可用。
- Perpetual licences cover the major version current at purchase, plus twelve months of updates within it. They do not include the next major version, nor cloud or commercial-only capabilities. 买断授权覆盖购买时的当前大版本，并含该版本内 12 个月更新；不含下一个大版本，也不含云端或仅限商业版的能力。
- Installers are free to download for everyone. What you pay for is the edition your licence unlocks, not access to the download. 安装包对所有人免费下载。付费购买的是授权解锁的 版本，而不是下载权限。
4. Research use only4. 仅供研究使用
This is research software. It is not a medical device and is not for clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic use. Predictions — folding, structural grouping, binding affinity — are computational estimates, not measurements. Validate anything that matters experimentally before relying on it. You are responsible for how results are used.
本软件为研究用途，不是医疗器械，不得用于临床、诊断或治疗。 折叠、结构归类、结合亲和力等预测均为计算估计而非实测值。任何重要结论都请先做实验验证。 结果如何使用由你负责。
5. Your data5. 你的数据
The desktop tools process your sequences and files locally; their contents never leave your machine, and we never claim any right over your research data or results. Account data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
桌面工具在本地处理你的序列与文件，其内容不会离开你的电脑；我们不对你的研究数据或结果 主张任何权利。账号数据的处理见隐私政策。
6. Payment6. 付费
Paid plans are billed through Stripe; we do not receive or store your card details. Prices are shown before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
付费计划通过 Stripe 结算；我们不接触也不保存你的银行卡信息。价格在确认前展示。 订阅在取消前自动续费，你可以随时在账号页取消。退款见退款政策。
7. Acceptable use7. 使用限制
Do not use the software unlawfully, do not share your licence with people it was not issued to, and do not use it to develop biological agents intended to cause harm.
不得用于违法用途，不得把授权分享给非授权对象，不得用于研制意图造成伤害的生物制剂。
8. Suspension8. 中止
We may suspend an account for a serious breach of these terms, or where a payment is reversed or disputed. Where a suspension is reversible we will restore access once the matter is resolved. We will tell you why.
如严重违反本条款，或发生付款撤销/拒付，我们可能中止账号。属可恢复的中止，在问题解决后 会恢复访问。我们会告知原因。
9. No warranty9. 免责
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free academic account, is nothing. We are not liable for lost data, lost results, or lost research time; keep your own backups.
软件按“现状”提供，不附带任何形式的担保。在法律允许的范围内，我们对你的赔偿责任总额 以索赔前 12 个月内你向我们支付的金额为限 —— 对免费学术账号而言即为零。 我们不对数据丢失、结果丢失或研究时间损失负责；请自行备份。
10. Changes and ending10. 变更与终止
You can stop using the software and delete your account at any time. We may update these terms; if a change materially affects you we will raise the version above and tell you. If we ever discontinue the service, perpetual licences already issued keep working offline for the period they were sold with.
你可以随时停止使用并删除账号。我们可能更新本条款；如变更对你有实质影响，会提升上方版本号 并告知。若服务终止，已售出的买断授权在其售出时约定的期限内仍可离线使用。
11. Governing law11. 适用法律
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory protections you have under the law of the country you live in.
本条款适用加拿大安大略省法律及在该省适用的加拿大联邦法律。如你是消费者， 本条款不影响你所在国家法律赋予你的强制性保护。
